Earae is the Goddess of Triumph. Where Ara teaches that honor gives victory meaning and Krallene teaches that loyalty gives war purpose, Earae teaches only that victory matters. The defeated are forgotten, the conquered are ruled, and history belongs to those strong enough to seize it.

Earae embodies triumph itself: the exultation of victory, the glory of achievement, and the certainty that greatness belongs to those who seize it. She is worshipped by conquerors, generals, rulers, and all who believe that greatness is achieved not through virtue, but through victory.

Earae most often wears magnificent armor of blackened steel chased with silver and crimson filigree. Unlike Krallene's practical harness or Ara's noble panoply, Earae's armor is unmistakably regal. It is adorned with laurels, crowns, and symbols of conquest, meant not merely to protect but to proclaim victory and authority. A long black cloak often hangs from her shoulders, moving as though stirred by an unseen wind.

Though capable of assuming countless forms, this dark-haired warrior-empress is the image by which mortals throughout Andórë most often depict the Goddess of Triumph.

Divine Nature¶

Origins¶

Little is known of Earae's existence before she became one of the gods of the Andórëan Pantheon. Ancient myths claim that she came to Andórë alongside her sisters, Ara and Krallene, already embodying the ideals of triumph, ambition, and conquest.

The earliest reliable accounts of Earae place her during the Age Of Monsters, when the Dragon-Giant War consumed the world. Of all the war goddesses, Earae was perhaps the most fascinated by the conflict. The scale of the war, the rise and fall of empires, and the countless opportunities for glory and greatness stirred her spirit profoundly.

When Tuulla forbade the war goddesses from intervening, Earae obeyed, though not without resentment. She believed she could have ended the war, forged order from the chaos, and led one side to a swift and glorious victory.

Yet she obeyed.

To Earae, triumph and conquest are sacred, but discipline and rightful authority are sacred as well. If every commander abandoned the chain of command whenever they believed they knew better, no army could endure.

The long centuries of forced inaction became one of the great frustrations of her existence and shaped much of her philosophy. Victory is precious precisely because it is earned through struggle, sacrifice, and endurance.

Earae is ambitious, disciplined, and intensely driven. She possesses the confidence of a conqueror and the bearing of an empress accustomed to command.

Like her sisters and closest companion, Earae dwells within Aralonia, the divine realm shared by the four goddesses of war and victory. The plane is a place of extraordinary beauty and Harmony, divided into four distinct provinces that embody the differing philosophies of war, loyalty, honor, triumph, and victory.

Though Earae values the realm deeply and would defend it without hesitation, she has never entirely forgiven the fact that it bears Ara's name rather than a more neutral title. The subject remains a source of endless amusement to her sisters.

Realm¶

Earae presides over Earaeth, the Province of Triumph.

Unlike the lush meadows of Krallia or the majestic mountains of Aranor, Earaeth is a harsh and unforgiving land of black stone, red sands, and windswept plateaus. Ancient battlefields, ruined fortresses, and monumental statues of victorious heroes dot the landscape.

Yet despite its severity, Earaeth is not a place of death or despair. It is a realm where triumph must be earned.

Its harsh environment exists to inspire strength, determination, and excellence. Nothing is given freely in Earaeth, and all accomplishments must be earned. Nothing in Earaeth is impossible, but nothing is freely given.

At the heart of the province stands the Fortress of Triumph, an immense citadel of black stone and silver ornamentation. Contrary to many mortal depictions, it is not a place of darkness or cruelty, but rather a palace of strategy, history, and achievement.

Its halls are filled with:

Angels, particularly Devas and Planetars who serve as commanders, strategists, and champions.
Ki-rin, who often act as advisors and emissaries.
Mortal heroes who achieved extraordinary greatness through determination, leadership, and conquest and now dwell within Earaeth as celestial servants and companions.
Great celestial crows that serve as messengers, scouts, and symbols of remembrance and achievement.

The inhabitants of Earaeth are intensely driven and often engage in friendly competitions, martial exercises, philosophical debates, and tests of skill.

Despite the province's fearsome appearance, visitors often discover an atmosphere of surprising camaraderie and mutual respect. Excellence is admired wherever it is found, and accomplishment is celebrated regardless of origin or station.

The province is also home to Nyxel, Earae's great nightmare steed and constant companion, whose black form can sometimes be seen racing across the red sands beneath the crimson Twilight skies of Earaeth.
