Appearance

Anchor is a towering construct standing over seven feet tall, his body formed from a strange alloy of dark grey and black metals. Beneath gaps in his plating, a core of dark mahogany-like wood emits a faint green glow. His eyes are cut green gemstones that shine with an inner light.

Biography

Anchor was created in the year -118 and assigned to the Human artificer Halleran Kingfisher during the final days of the Great War. Though designed for battle, he never saw combat. Instead, he spent his early existence working in trade and shipping alongside his Halleran and later Halleran's son, Emmet, serving as a pilot and valued member of numerous merchant crews.

When the Demon Run destroyed civilization, Anchor and Emmet escaped aboard one of the refugee ships that reached Agrovionimb. Following Emmet's death shortly thereafter, Anchor remained with the Buhralmath Sea Elf family and eventually adopted their family name. For more than a thousand years he has worked as a smith, kelp farmer, and fisherman, becoming a familiar and beloved figure throughout the city.

Recently, Anchor joined an expedition into the Dreadmist Swamp to investigate a disturbance. The expedition was attacked by a troll, and only seven members returned alive. During the battle, the fey wood within Anchor's frame and his gemstone eyes began to glow, and he manifested magical abilities that he had never possessed before. Believing this awakening to be a sign that his purpose lies beyond the city walls, the Buhralmath family encouraged him to join the expedition aboard the Dawn Seeker.

Personality

Anchor is tireless, dependable, and fiercely protective of those he considers family or friends. Despite his imposing appearance, he is known throughout Agrovionimb for his kindness and generosity, often helping with odd jobs and giving much of his earnings to those in need. Since the awakening of his magical abilities, he has become increasingly curious about the world and eager to explore beyond the island that has been his home for over a millennium.
