History¶
According to legend, Fortunia was once a mundane mortal city, known as the City of Chance. It was a place where gambling and vice were rampant, and people came from all over to try their luck and win their fortunes. However, the city's greed and corruption eventually caught the attention of Atdite, the Goddess of Fortune. She saw the potential of the city to become a place of divine power, and so she intervened.
Atdite appeared before the city's leaders and offered them a deal. She would make them rich beyond their wildest dreams, but in return, they must swear to serve her and transform the city
into a realm of divine power. The leaders, driven by their lust for wealth and power, agreed to the deal without hesitation.
Atdite waved her hand, and the city was instantly transformed into the divine realm of Fortunia. The once mundane buildings were replaced with grand, opulent structures, and the city was filled with divine magic that allowed for the creation of the most extravagant and luxurious experiences.
The goddess then summoned a legion of otherworldly beings to staff the realm, including celestial beings and demons, all bound to serve Atdite in exchange for a share of the wealth that flowed through Fortunia.
Since that day, Fortunia has remained a beacon of wealth and prosperity, and has become a sought-after destination for adventurers, mortals, and even other deities. Some come to test their luck in the casino or on the racetrack, while others seek out the rare and valuable services offered by the realm's personal care providers.
Despite its reputation as a place of vice and greed, Fortunia is a carefully regulated and managed realm. Atdite demands that all guests follow the strict rules of the realm, and those who do not are quickly punished, often by being ejected into the realm of the God of Torture.
As the goddess of fate and wealth, Atdite takes her role as the ruler of Fortunia very seriously. She is known to take a personal interest in the fortunes of her guests, often intervening in their lives to nudge them towards the path of success or ruin. But for those who are willing to follow her rules and play by her games, the rewards of Fortunia are great, and the possibilities endless.
Tourism¶
The tourism industry of Fortunia revolves around its three main attractions: the casino, hotel, and racetrack. Visitors come from all over the planes to try their luck at the tables, indulge in the luxury of the hotel, and watch the exciting races featuring otherworldly creatures. The hotel also offers "personal care" services for those willing to pay the price.
Many visitors also come to Fortunia seeking the blessings of Atdite, hoping to win her favor and receive a share of her divine fortune. The goddess is known to be fickle, however, and her blessings can be as much of a curse as a boon. Still, many are willing to take the risk for the chance at untold riches and good fortune.
The VIP area, Fortune's Favor, is also a major draw for some visitors. Here, they can relax and converse with other deities or their divine servants, free from the danger of weapons or violence. The exclusivity of Fortune's Favor adds to its appeal for those seeking a high-end and secure environment.
Overall, Fortunia's tourism industry is focused on entertainment and indulgence, with the promise of the goddess's blessings adding an extra level of excitement and risk for visitors.

Fortunia Racetrack¶
Greeting dear guest. Below you will find a selection of races available at the Fortunia Racetrack. May you line your pockets with gold.
Shadow Serpent Scurry¶
One of the fiendish races at the Fortunia race track is called the Shadow Serpent Scurry. These races feature a group of shadowy, serpent-like creatures that slither and slide their way through the track, leaving behind a trail of darkness and despair. These serpents are said to be born from the nightmares of mortals, and their very presence is enough to fill the hearts of those who watch them race with a sense of unease and dread.
The Shadow Serpents are agile and fast, able to move quickly and smoothly through the twists and turns of the track. Their bodies are covered in dark scales that seem to absorb all light, making them difficult to see in the dimly lit stadium. Their eyes gleam with a malevolent intelligence, and their forked tongues flick out to taste the air, searching for the scent of their prey.
As the race begins, the Shadow Serpents slither out of the starting gate, their sinuous bodies undulating in a hypnotic rhythm. They move with a silent grace, each one trying to outmaneuver the others and gain an advantage in the race. The crowd watches in awe and terror as the serpents twist and turn, weaving their way around obstacles and slipping through narrow gaps with ease.
But the Shadow Serpents are not just racing for the thrill of it. They are also hunting, searching for the souls of those who have bet on them to win. As they race, they emit a chilling hiss that seems to echo through the minds of their prey, filling them with a sense of hopelessness and despair. Those unlucky enough to be caught by a Shadow Serpent will have their souls claimed by the casino, to be used as currency in future bets.
Despite their sinister nature, the Shadow Serpents are one of the most popular races at Fortunia. Their unique abilities and unsettling appearance make them a favorite among those seeking a thrill, and their unpredictability keeps even the most seasoned gamblers on edge.
