Zlog Bonegrinder¶
Basic Information¶
Species: Orc
Occupation: Stay-at-Home Parent
Residence: The Twinkling Flats, Agrovionimb
Appearance¶
Physical Description¶
Zlog is a tall, lean orc standing 191 cm (6'3") in height.
He has cool olive skin, green eyes, and cropped orange hair that has already begun turning almost entirely white despite his youth. A few baby hairs cling stubbornly to his chin, forming what might someday become a beard.
His tusks are straight and neatly maintained.
Though physically imposing, Zlog often seems smaller than he truly is. His posture is relaxed and slightly withdrawn, and he tends to avoid drawing attention to himself.
Clothing and Equipment¶
Zlog dresses simply and practically, favoring comfortable clothes suitable for household work and caring for a young child.
His clothing often bears the signs of everyday domestic life: flour dust, thread, or the occasional stain from preparing meals.
Relationships¶
Durgat Stormbringer¶
Zlog's fiancée and the mother of his daughter.
He loves Durgat deeply and trusted her completely.
The revelation that she was responsible for Nelldove Sivmil's death and involved in a secret organization shattered his understanding of the person he intended to marry.
Even now, he struggles to reconcile the woman he knew with the crimes she committed.
Rulfim Bonegrinder¶
His five-year-old daughter and the center of his world.
Zlog is a devoted and attentive parent who happily gave up outside employment to raise her.
Much of his current worry revolves not around himself, but around how these events will affect his daughter.
Zumpetor Thaldor-TallLand¶
A close friend and one of the few people with whom Zlog feels completely comfortable.
Personality¶
Zlog is extremely introverted and enjoys solitude and quiet routines.
He is somewhat creative and enjoys thinking about new ideas, though he rarely shares them unless asked directly.
He is not especially organized and often finds himself unprepared for unexpected situations.
Above all else, Zlog is exceptionally kind and empathetic. He genuinely cares about other people and is easily affected by their pain and suffering.
He is also quite moody and experiences frequent emotional swings, sometimes moving quickly between happiness, frustration, and sadness.
When speaking, Zlog often pauses for long moments before answering, carefully considering his words.
Interests¶
Hiking¶
Zlog enjoys long walks and hiking in the countryside surrounding Agrovionimb.
He finds quiet places and natural scenery deeply calming.
Teaching and Learning¶
His greatest personal goal is to learn new things and pass knowledge on to others.
He takes particular joy in teaching his daughter and introducing her to the world.
History¶
Zlog originally worked as a general laborer before choosing to become a stay-at-home father after the birth of his daughter.
By all accounts he embraced the role wholeheartedly and became the primary caretaker of his family while Durgat worked as a shipbuilder.
When investigators arrived at The Twinkling Flats seeking answers about Durgat Stormbringer, Zlog cooperated fully. He allowed the party to search his home, answered every question honestly, and admitted that he recognized none of the demonic symbols they showed him.
He also revealed several details that would later prove important, including Durgat's attendance at a weekly prayer group and the fact that several shipbuilders frequently worked late into the night.
At the time, he had no idea that he was helping uncover a conspiracy in which his fiancée was deeply involved.
Nor could he have imagined that his family's life was about to change forever.
