Appearance¶

Pethi is an exceptionally tall goliath woman with grey skin, blue eyes, and long golden-silver hair. Despite her imposing stature, she carries herself with a quiet calm and measured grace. Prayer beads are rarely far from her hands, and she often absentmindedly rubs a beaded bracelet that was given to her by her mentor when she was young.

Biography¶

Pethi was only two years old when her parents volunteered to join the crew of the exploration ship Last Beacon. The vessel sailed from Agrovionimb in 1119 AoD and never returned, like every expedition before it. They entrusted their daughter to the care of the Pagoda of Ara before their departure.

Since that day, Pethi has been the only known goliath living on Agrovionimb. Whether any others still exist elsewhere in the world remains unknown.

Raised within the temple, Pethi was taught to cultivate both mind and body. She learned to read the ancient books and scrolls preserved in the temple's library, practiced meditation and spiritual guidance, and trained extensively in unarmed combat. Over the years, Dovos became both her mentor and father figure, raising her as though she were his own daughter.

Although the gods have long since fallen silent, Pethi never lost faith in the value of prayer and ritual. She believes the temple still serves an essential purpose by providing comfort, wisdom, and solace to those struggling to survive in the last city.

Driven by curiosity about the wider world, the fate of her parents, and the possibility that other goliaths may still live somewhere beyond the horizon, Pethi volunteered for the expedition into the Dreadmist Swamp. She was one of only seven survivors of the encounter with The Troll of Dreadmist.

Now, with the construction of the Dawn Seeker, she has volunteered once again—this time to venture beyond Agrovionimb itself in search of answers that have eluded her for twenty-three years.

Personality¶

Pethi is slightly introverted and deeply inquisitive. She values life, spiritual growth, and the pursuit of knowledge. While she is curious about the world beyond the island and the possibility of finding her birth family or other goliaths, she quietly fears what those answers might reveal.

Dovos: Mentor, father figure, and the person who raised her within the Pagoda of Ara.

The People of Agrovionimb: Many know Pethi as a patient listener and a source of comfort within the temple.
