Appearance¶
Physical Description¶
Kipnottin is a small, slender gnome standing only 102 cm (3'4") tall. Her warm brown skin and long gray hair give her an almost grandmotherly appearance, though there is nothing frail about her demeanor.
Her hair is long, wavy, and beginning to thin with age, usually tied back while she works. She possesses striking red eyes that seem to notice everything around her.
Years of managing one of Agrovionimb's most important construction projects have given her an air of constant attentiveness. She rarely sits still for long and has a habit of tapping one finger against a desk or railing while thinking.
Clothing and Equipment¶
Kipnottin dresses practically, favoring sturdy but well-made clothing suitable for both office work and climbing around a construction site.
Her belt is filled with notebooks, measuring tools, pencils, and small scraps of paper covered in hastily written reminders.
She often carries a sewing kit as well, mending clothing or equipment whenever she has a spare moment.
Relationships¶
Nelldove Sivmil¶
Kipnottin's sister and one of the finest shipbuilders under her supervision.
Nelldove's death affected Kipnottin deeply, both personally and professionally. She still struggles with the loss, though she rarely allows herself to show it.
Brodon Sivmil¶
Another sibling and fellow shipbuilder.
Kipnottin understands why Brodon doubts the official explanation for Nelldove's death, but she believes continuing to investigate will only cause more pain and disrupt the shipyard.
Lilyarn Murnwarrgar¶
Kipnottin's daughter, of whom she is quietly proud.
She does not speak about her family often but takes great interest in Lilyarn's life and future.
Lopbatter Murnwarrgar¶
Kipnottin is separated from her former partner. She rarely discusses the circumstances surrounding their separation and generally redirects the conversation if asked.
Friends¶
Kipnottin maintains a small but close circle of friends outside the shipyard and enjoys spending evenings gossiping over food and drinks.
Personality¶
Kipnottin is energetic, disciplined, and exceptionally organized.
She is quick to understand new ideas and enjoys learning different approaches to problems, though she ultimately favors practical solutions over theoretical ones.
Despite her demanding position, she is considerate and genuinely interested in the people around her. She knows the names, strengths, and shortcomings of nearly every worker under her supervision.
She is generally calm and difficult to upset, preferring to solve problems methodically rather than emotionally.
Her greatest flaw is perhaps an overreliance on reasonable explanations. She tends to assume that every problem has a practical cause and often dismisses unlikely possibilities until evidence becomes overwhelming.
She also loves to gossip and can become surprisingly talkative when discussing other people's lives.

Kipnottin enjoys sewing and repairing clothing by hand. She finds the repetitive work calming and often keeps her hands busy while thinking.

Though she would never admit it publicly, Kipnottin loves hearing about local events, relationships, and community rumors.
She firmly believes that knowing what people are talking about is simply another form of management.
History¶
Born into the large Sivmil family, Kipnottin spent much of her life around ships and shipbuilders.
Her talent lay not in construction itself but in organization and logistics. She possessed an exceptional memory for schedules, inventories, and personnel, eventually becoming overseer of the Superior Shipyard.
Under her management the shipyard developed a reputation for efficiency and quality, and she was entrusted with overseeing construction of the Dawn Seeker, one of the most important projects in modern Agrovionimb.
In the week before her death, Nelldove repeatedly complained that something inside the Dawn Seeker "didn't look right." Kipnottin assumed these concerns involved ordinary construction issues and advised her sister to raise them through proper channels.
When Nelldove later died inside the shipyard, Kipnottin accepted the Tidewardens' conclusion that the death had been a tragic accident. The explanation was painful but believable.
What troubles her most is not the possibility of murder.
It is the possibility that she should have listened more carefully when her sister said something was wrong.
