Astrum
High Scribe of Hexorth Astrum Starweaver¶
I am Astrum Starweaver, High Scribe of Hexorth, and a proud soul within the realm of Oreinerius. As an elf, five centuries have I lived, each moment spent enraptured by the arcane arts, honing my mastery as a mage.
Golden hues adorn my skin, and emerald eyes behold the world. Yet, 'tis my fervor and unyielding spirit I wish others to perceive. I cherish my role as a scribe, an esteemed member of the Triad Arcanum, ever eager to lend a helping hand where fate may guide me.
Alas, perfection eludes me. Stubborn and singular, I often find myself adrift amidst a sea of thoughts and dreams. Yet, each mistake teaches me to ascend as a greater being and a more adept mage.
In the wisdom of the ages, I place my faith, and deem knowledge the harbinger of change. Through my scribal endeavors or my humble aid to those in need, I vow to leave a mark of light upon the world that surrounds me.

Attending Hexorth¶
Astrum had always been fascinated by magic, and so it was no surprise when she decided to attend Hexorth, the arcane magic wing of the Triad Arcanum in the Crystal Tower. She spent countless hours studying in the library and practicing spells in the laboratory, honing her skills and exploring the mysteries of the arcane.
One day, while she was studying in the library, she overheard a group of students talking about a secret magical chamber hidden somewhere within the tower. Astrum was intrigued, and she decided to investigate.
She spent days searching the tower, searching for any signs of the hidden chamber. She searched high and low, but she found nothing. Just as she was about to give up, she noticed an old tapestry in one of the tower's winding staircases. She approached it and noticed that it seemed to be hiding something.
With a wave of her hand, Astrum cast a spell to reveal any hidden enchantments on the tapestry. To her surprise, the tapestry shimmered and transformed before her eyes, revealing a hidden passage leading to the secret chamber.
Excited, Astrum made her way down the passage and soon found herself standing in a small chamber filled with ancient tomes and mysterious artifacts. She spent hours poring over the tomes, reading about ancient spells and lost magical secrets.
But her excitement turned to fear when she heard footsteps approaching the chamber. She quickly hid behind a nearby bookshelf and peeked out to see who was coming. To her horror, she saw the headmaster of the Triad Arcanum, his eyes blazing with anger.
Astrum was terrified that she would be expelled for trespassing, but the headmaster surprised her by congratulating her on her discovery. He explained that the chamber had been hidden for generations and that only the most dedicated students were able to find it.
From that day forward, Astrum's reputation as a skilled and daring mage spread throughout Hexorth, and she was regarded with respect and admiration by her fellow students. The incident had taught her an important lesson about the value of perseverance and determination, and she knew that she would always carry that lesson with her as she continued to explore the mysteries of the arcane.

Failures & Embarrassments¶
During The Great War, the Velhelsinese Empire sent a battalion of their best soldiers to infiltrate the Crystal Tower and steal an artifact of great power. Astrum was stationed in the archives at the time, working on cataloging and preserving ancient tomes and texts.
When the alarm bells rang out through the Tower, Astrum grabbed her staff and ran towards the commotion. She joined the battle, fighting alongside her fellow wizards to repel the invaders. Despite their best efforts, the drow managed to break through their defenses and steal the artifact.
Astrum felt the weight of the defeat deeply. She had always prided herself on her ability to protect the knowledge and artifacts of the Tower, and to see something so precious and powerful stolen was a blow to her sense of duty and purpose.
In the aftermath of the battle, Astrum threw herself into her work with renewed fervor. She studied ancient texts and artifacts, searching for clues as to how the drow had managed to break into the Tower and what they might do with the artifact they had stolen. She also dedicated herself to training in combat magic, determined to be better prepared for any future attacks.
Despite her efforts, however, the artifact remained lost, and Astrum couldn't help but feel that she had failed in her duty to protect the Tower and the knowledge it contained. The memory of that defeat continued to haunt her for years to come, a reminder of the ever-present danger that lurked beyond the walls of the Crystal Tower.
The nature of the artifact that the drow stole during the Great War is unknown, as it is a closely guarded secret of the Triad Arcanum. However, it is rumored to be a powerful magical artifact that has the potential to bring great destruction if it were to fall into the wrong hands.

For weeks, Astrum was inconsolable. She withdrew into herself, barely eating or sleeping, consumed by grief and anger. She felt lost and alone, adrift in a world that suddenly seemed cruel and unforgiving.
It took a long time for Astrum to come to terms with her parents' deaths. She threw herself into her studies, using her grief as a motivation to excel in her magical abilities. She became more focused and driven, determined to honor her parents' memory by becoming the best wizard she could be.
Despite her outward success, however, Astrum still carries the pain of her loss with her. There are times when the memories overwhelm her, when she feels the weight of her grief like a physical burden. As I sit here, pen in hand and parchment before me, I find myself pondering over the course of my life thus far. Specifically, I am thinking about my romantic history, or lack thereof.
As a young elf, I was swept up in the ideals of elven courtship and eagerly awaited the day when I would find my true love. But despite my many admirers, I never found someone who truly captivated my heart. I had close friends and companions, but no one who made me feel that special spark of attraction.
Over the years, there were a few individuals who caught my eye. A charming bard who serenaded me with sweet melodies, and a skilled wizard who shared my passion for history and lore. But for various reasons, things never progressed beyond friendship.
As I grew older and took on more responsibilities as High Scribe of Hexorth, my focus shifted more towards my work and less towards pursuing romantic relationships. I valued my independence and the freedom to pursue my passions without being tied down by the expectations of a partner.
But sometimes, I wonder if I missed out on something important by not pursuing love more actively. Perhaps there was someone out there who could have been the perfect match for me, but I was too focused on my work to notice.
Despite these occasional thoughts, I am content with my life and the fulfilling work that I do. I know that I have made valuable contributions to the world of magic and scholarship, and I am proud of the accomplishments that I have achieved. While love may not have been a major part of my life, I have found fulfillment and purpose in other ways, and that is what truly matters.
