Zel'xia is the Sacred Empress of the Serpent Throne and the ruler of the Kan'tasian Empire. As a Yuan-ti, she possesses both humanoid and serpentine features, with a lower body of a snake and an upper body of a humanoid. Zel'xia is a mortal manifestation of the gods, and her rule is considered to be divinely inspired. Despite the empire's isolationist policies and focus on shamanistic traditions, Zel'xia is a shrewd and capable leader who has maintained the empire's stability and prosperity throughout her reign. Her personal guard, known as the Fangs of Zel'xia, are some of the most feared warriors in the empire. Zel'xia is widely respected and revered by her subjects, and her rule is expected to continue for many years to come.
