Cities, Lands, Waters, Underdark

The lands of Andórë are very similar to what you would expect from any other D&D world.

The Surface of Andórë

Andórë is a spherical world with with a meridian length of 3,892 miles, making it roughly 31% the size of Earth. It is far denser than Earth at its core, so the gravity is the same. It rotates more slowly the earth, resulting in the same 24-hour day, and has roughly the same orbital length, making for a 365 day year. Those facts are very convenient. Also, this will not come up. I'm not a geologist, meteorologist, or physicist; I just want to play TTRPGs in my own world where I don't have to remember anybody else's lore.

The surface is mostly water, with two large continents, the western continent (on most maps) is known as Dragon's Maw, and the eastern is known as Giant's Hammer.

Cities and Nations

Andórë doesn't have any Waterdeep or Baldur's Gate style cities with 250,000 people in them. At its peak, the largest city in the world of Andórë was the island city of Marate, with 42,000 people in it.

Underdark, Mostlydark, Wonderdark

There is no Underdark on Andórë insofar as there there is no completely separate "Underdark" biome like in other D&D worlds. At least not one that has yet been discovered. Any references to the Underdark in official D&D writing have no bearing on Andórë. Are their cities in the sides of mountains like Erebor in Lord of the Rings? Hell yes. Are there cities completely under ground with no surface presence like Menzoberranzan of the Forgotten Realms? Hell no.

Water

While we have aquatic races and people available. I have made no real effort to define underwater civilization in Andórë at this time.
