Author's Personal Thoughts¶

As an elf who does not sleep, I have never experienced the terror of nightmares that Phudros represents. However, I can understand the power that fear and chaos hold over mortals, and the appeal that Phudros's faith may hold for those who seek to spread terror and discord.

Personally, I find Phudros's malevolent nature and the suffering his followers inflict upon others to be repugnant. The pursuit of power and control through fear and chaos goes against my own beliefs in compassion and empathy, and I cannot condone such actions.

However, I also understand the need for balance in the universe, and the role that chaos and destruction play in the natural order of things. Phudros's faith may be a necessary counterweight to the more benevolent gods of Andórë, and for some, his teachings may provide a sense of purpose and motivation.

Ultimately, it is up to each individual to decide whether to follow Phudros and embrace the power of nightmares and fear, or to reject his malevolent teachings and seek a path of compassion and harmony. As for myself, I choose the latter, for I believe that true power lies not in causing fear and suffering, but in lifting others up and creating a better world for all.
